Shiella Cowan

PGA of Canada Class A Instructor

Shiella started golfing in small town Morden Manitoba with a booming population of 5000 people and a beautiful 9 hole golf course. As a kid she won many local events and eventually went to University to pursue a Physical Education degree to become a teacher. After working at Southwood Golf Club in Winnipeg she decided to turn pro and move to Vancouver and took her first pro job at Point Grey Golf And Country.

Shiella became the first female Head Professional in the province in 1996. Since then she has dedicated her career to teaching female golfers. She was the Head Coach for the UBC Women’s Golf team for 4 years then moved to Westwood Plateau to open the first Golf Academy of its kind.

Shiella believes in 6 pillars for great golf performance: nutrition, physical fitness, mental awareness and preparation, time to practice, clubs that are fitted to you and honing the technique for each skill.

Come see Shiella and start your golf journey. After all it is a game of a lifetime.
