Zachary Duteau-Taguchi
PGA of Canada Professional
Zachary is a dedicated golf professional with a lifelong passion for the game and a
modern, straightforward approach to helping players improve. A PGA of Canada
member for the past four years, he is actively working toward his Class “A” designation while continuing to grow his coaching expertise. His experience includes teaching roles at Nicklaus North Golf Course and Modern Golf Vancouver, where he coached players of all levels and specialized in club fitting.
Before pursuing golf fulltime, Zachary studied Chemical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. Although he performed well academically, he realized early on that his interests didn’t align with the engineering industry. That clarity reaffirmed his commitment to a career centered on sport, coaching, and meaningful player development.
Raised in Japan, Zachary grew up playing junior golf at Shimonoseki Golf Club. His
international background allows him to offer bilingual coaching in English and Japanese, making his instruction accessible to a wider range of players and families. His coaching philosophy focuses on simplicity, strong fundamentals, and genuine enthusiasm for helping golfers play their best.
